Harding Township, New Jersey Residence

Main Entrance Foyer

The entrance to this residence crosses a still pool with floating water lillies. The water theme is carried into the foyer of the main entrance which had an architectual bridge and two planters on either side of it. River rock was used to create a dry river bed. Robert Watrous added a fish motif made out of colored rocks to give the playful impression of a fish swimming under the bridge. The owners later mentioned that it is often the children that spot the fish when entering into the house. Adults with their advantage of a higher perspective just see the river stones and don't put the two sides together.
